Exception Service

Shaw and I enjoy going to restaraunts and having a nice meal. We enjoy being waited on, and not ordering our food through a speaker and window. Lately, we have gotten mediocre service from most of the waitstaff that we have encountered...until this week! Saturday we went to one place, and the waitress was right there when we needed something, was quick to get whatever we needed and very pleasant. Then, yesterday we went to Red Lobster in Tulsa. Again, the service was exceptional! The waiter was very prompt on everything. We didn't spend forever waiting on a check, or waiting on a refill. It has been WONDERFUL! I know it's a small thing to be happy about, but when your used to getting some half assed service it's a great change.

So, after changing my hair red...(yes I dyed it red) i realized it wasn't the color that worked for me. To the mall I went for a total makeover with my hair. The red was lifted out, and lots of blonde highlights placed throughout all of my hair. Now it's a very blonde looking color, with some natural dark browns (my own color), and a little bit of red still comes through in places, but it looks awesome! The cut is very classy but yet complimentary to a big girl face. The blonde really tones down the redness of my face, and the cut gave my face a slimmed down look. Not to mention, my hair doesn't make me look trashy anymore :)

Whew! What a week!

Okay, it's Monday of a new week, time for a new beginning to the craziness of last week. Shall we take a trip back to last week?

Last week was a little hectic in the beginning mainly due to the externship I am trying to get finished. Well, Wednesday was the last evening of the week I was scheduled to work over at Clary. Anyhow, about 30 minutes before I was scheduled to leave, I was informed that my vehicle had been broken into. I rushed out to the car and found my passenger side window bashed in. My mp3 player was gone, along with my work bag. What was so bad about this was I had just picked up seventeen patient facesheets from one of the facilities I had been at. It had new orders for more patients. On the facesheets were social security numbers, medicare numbers, insurance information, addresses and former occupations. They contained every piece of information you wouldnt' want a person to get ahold of. Luckily, the security camera was able to catch the incident, but whether it will go anywhere is anybody's guess.

Thursday, Sari's calss went to the Tulsa zoo. Shaw and I went with them and had a great time. Sari loved it! She ended up buying a pink and cream lemur that laughs, and a blue reptile that is very rubbery.

After we went to the zoo, Shaw and I went to the Tulsa court house and got a new marriage license. We made a phone call to A Chapel Next to The Courthouse, and an hour later we were married!

Friday morning, Sari had an oral surgery appointment at the Cushing surgery center. She was nervous, but braved it like a trooper. She had 8 fillings and 8 caps on her molars. Her teeth hurt alot that first day, but by that evening, were feeling much better. We then went to mom's for her birthday. We were able to see my brother, sister in law and my cute little neice, Mina Rose.

That's about it! I'll update again another time.

Update

Well, I have finally recovered my pay from the 25th. It took a while, but with some persistance, I got my money. Now, I just hope I can actually get my next check this Friday. haha

I started my externship Tuesday. I'm going to be knocking out only about 20-30 hours per week, so it's going to take some time. I have about 220 hours to complete. However, before long, it will be done and I can rest easy by the end of June. Wahoo!

What's Next?/Camping

Last weekend, we bought a new tent. The plan was to go camping this weekend somewhere fun and relatively close. I just didn't realize just how close we would be camping. Shaw had also purchased 3 super sleeping bags that are 3 bags put together...and very warm I might add. So, even with the cooler temps at night, a little trip away from home would have been great.

However, some unexpected things came our way so our camping trip soon became another weekend at home. However, SAri, really wanted to still do some camping. So, with Shaw's help we erected the brand new tent in our yard. She and I got our new sleeping bags, some flash lights, books and some goodies and set out to camp. It was a cold night (about 40 degrees). HOwever, the sleeping bags were great and very warm! We ate our snacks, read some books and fell asleep.

Now, if this next weekend is nice, and I can get all my paychecks actually paid...we may go for a real camping trip, complete with fishing, woods, cookouts and campfires. :)
